Rebuilding Education Enclosures

Project: Replace Enclosures for Education Animals
Projected Cost: $77,203
Status: in progress!

Three separate education animal enclosures – currently housing Ruby [Red-tailed Hawk], Verlon [American Kestrel], and Athena [Barred Owl ] – have started to decay and will need to be replaced.  The Center plans to replace these separate buildings with a single, space-efficient structure with three [or perhaps four] separate enclosures, mirroring the ambassador enclosures constructed in 2019.  These new enclosures will provide appropriate housing for not only current residents but also the next generation of education ambassadors.
