Call of the Wild Conference Registration Opens

Registration has opened for the 2010 Call of the Wild conference on wildlife rehabilitation.  This year's conference will take place on November 13-14, 2010 at the Best Western Inn & Suites Conference Center in Waynesboro, VA.  With two concurrent sessions running each day, there is a diverse array of subjects offered this year.  Class topics include:  The Gulf Oil Spill--Lessons Learned andIMG_4199 Lessons Lost; Embracing the Challenge in Challenging Birds; Answering the Call of the Wild--A Hotline Resource Manual in Action; Living with Black Bears; and more.  The credit hours received at the conference count toward the required continuing education classes to obtain and renew a wildlife rehabilitation permit.  From the beginner to the advanced rehabber, wildlife veterinarian, biologist, environmental educator, or wildlife biology student -- there is something at the conference for everyone! What have attendees from past conferences had to say about the event?
  • “This was my first conference and everything was wonderful!  I enjoyed all the information that was provided.  I look forward to attending next year.”
  • “This conference was an absolute blast and I learned quite a bit.  It was truly worth the four-hour drive here and I have already marked on the calendar next year’s Call of the Wild.”
  • “Good variety of classes.  The conference is well put together, [and has a] very friendly, relaxed atmosphere.”
