The Wildlife Center is pleased to be part of the 2022 Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch Open House!
"Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch is one of over 200 hawk watch sites in North America monitored by the Hawk Migration Association of North America (HMANA). The primary mission of our hawk watch is to collect raptor count data during fall migration in a repetitive and consistent fashion."
Learn more about the HMANA's mission during this event, and meet two of the Wildlife Center's non-releasable education ambassadors in-person.
The Center's education ambassadors will be featured during two separate 30-minute presentations at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Complementary refreshments will be provided. Parking is available in the Inn at Afton parking lot. Bring a lawn chair (or blanket), hat, sunscreen and binoculars. Pets are discouraged because of live animals on-site.
