Public Saturday Program: Love for the Unloved

February 15, 2020 - 11:00am to 12:00pm

Join the Wildlife Center of Virginia for an hour-long environmentally-focused class on one Saturday of every month at 11:00 a.m.!  With every class covering a new topic, learn about wildlife, the environment, and conservation issues facing our world with easy takeaway practices to implement at home.  Classes may include lectures, visits from education ambassadors, hikes through the neighboring National Forest, or hands-on activities.

This class series is geared toward adults, but young adults age 12 and up who are interested in knowing more about this subject are welcome to attend.  Children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult for the entire duration of the class.

$5/person.  Class is first-come, first-serve for registration – limited spots available.

No walk-ins.

Join us for our February "Love for the Unloved" class where we will explore what makes animals like snakes, opossums, and vultures so great!  Meet a few education ambassadors up-close, and learn about why these often under-appreciated animals are so important to our ecosystems.
