Monday, October 17 at 2:00 pm [all times Eastern]. Meet the Bear Brigade.
A conversation with the rehabilitators who have exclusive responsibility for caring for the Center’s Black Bear cubs. This session, hosted by Outreach team member Lauren Glaze, will also include video highlights of this year’s cubs.
Tuesday, October 18: 5:00 pm. Scrolling Back: Reflections with Randy.
A conversation with Randy Huwa, hosted by Amanda Nicholson. Randy has been at the Center since 2005 [and Amanda since 2001]. Randy will be stepping back from his day-to-day responsibilities as Executive Vice President at the end of the year.
Wednesday, October 19: 3:00 pm. Opossum Time
A session with the Center’s two flower-girl resident ambassador opossums – Marigold and Violet – and their human handlers. PLUS – the online debut of the newest member of the Possum Posse. Among the special items in this year’s online auction – naming rights for this opossum!
Thursday, October 20: 3:00 pm. Conversations with Birds: Raptor Training
A behind-the-scenes look at what goes into training a wild raptor to become one of the Center’s wildlife ambassadors. Join featured guests Amanda and Connor of the Center’s outreach department as they highlight the daily training work that occurs with each education raptor at the Center. And tune in to hear special updates on the newest members of the outreach team!
Friday, October 21: 6 p.m. Putting on the Ritz
It’s time to get ready for the Gala Grand Finale! Pick up some tips for special cocktails – hors d’oeuvres – and fashion accessories – from Amanda Nicholson and Dr. Karra Pierce.
