Tours and Field Trips

A visit to the Wildlife Center of Virginia is a truly unique opportunity for your class, club, or group. Learn about the inner-workings of a wildlife hospital, meet one of our education ambassadors up-close,  and take an up-close look at our resident non-releasable raptors.

Programs for schools meet the Virginia Standards of Learning requirements.

January 2019 note: In November 2018, the Wildlife Center’s facilities suffered significant damage from an ice storm. Construction work to repair and rebuild enclosures will take place in the next three months. Any tours scheduled during this time are subject to cancellation or rescheduling to accommodate construction crews. Please take this into consideration as you are planning your tour request. If your dates are flexible, we highly recommend requesting tour dates later in the spring. We’ll post updates to our construction timeline as soon as we learn more.

Finish with a tour of our indoor reptile enclosures, as well as our outdoor raptor enclosures where you’ll see and learn about owls, hawks, and eagles.
