Bald Eagle #21-0013 [SB], who was released in Virginia Beach more than a week ago, has been spotted! The eagle is at Bald Eagle ND's former nesting site. Special thanks to Laurel Saman for sharing this photo and update.
After five days of close observation, the veterinary team determined that Black Bear #20-1694 was ready to begin the gradual transition from Large Mammal Isolation back into the larger Black Bear Complex.
The goal of the Center is “to treat to release” – to restore patients to health and return as many as possible to the wild. In rare instances, the Center has the opportunity to track eagles after their release. Click here to follow these former eagle patients.
