One of my favorite parts of being a wildlife rehabilitator is how creative you get to be. There is so much room in this field to try new things, solve problems you didn’t expect, and improve your patient’s care.
But, during my second week on the job, something happened that will stick with me for a lifetime.
When all was said and done, it felt like an extreme accomplishment to have been a part of such an organized undertaking, and was definitely my favorite WCV memory from 2021!
Many activities at the Center were put on hold because a snake would not eat an egg.
I always knew he was special, but everyone else knew too by the time he left!
The highlight of 2021, for me, has been the beginning of my life-changing journey as a rehabilitation extern at the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
With all the uncertainty of life there's one thing I am certain of ... that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
