Support the Center

The Wildlife Center of Virginia is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that depends primarily upon private donations for its programs and services. Contributions to the Wildlife Center are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

The Center works hard to be an effective and efficient non-profit – we strive to keep our administrative and fundraising costs to a minimum, so that we can do the best job possible as a wildlife hospital and education center.

Contributions to the Wildlife Center may be made online through Paypal.

Your donation to the Wildlife Center of Virginia will help provide:

  • Life-saving emergency medical care to sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals;
  • Care, feeding, and rehabilitation to wild patients during their recovery, and ongoing care to the 20+ animals — part of the Center’s education and outreach team — that now call the Wildlife Center home;
  • Support for our award-winning educational programs that help children and adults to be good stewards of their environment and true friends to wildlife.

The Wildlife Center of Virginia is currently sending out individualized year-end receipts for donations made to the Center during 2011.   All receipts should be in the mail by January 31.  These receipts, which may be helpful in preparing tax returns, itemize all monetary donations given to the Center during 2011 [gifts by check, cash, credit card, PayPal, etc.]; any benefits received [for example, meals at our annual gala], and tax-deductible totals.

Many Center supporters purchased copies of the 2012 Garden of Eagles calendar.  The price of the calendar includes a $10 charitable donation to the Center.  These donations are included in the Center’s year-end tax receipts.
