On October 1, Buddy — the Bald Eagle hatched at the Norfolk Botanical Garden and now a permanent resident of the Wildlife Center — was brought into the Center’s clinic for a dremmeling procedure – one of his regular “beak-trims”. 

When he was anesthetized for the procedure, Center veterinarians worked to get a Buddy “footprint” — using a non-toxic and washable paint.

Through this procedure, we are pleased to offer two one-of-a-kind Buddy “autographs” as part of our 2010 auction:

A Buddy footprint [the dimensions of the frame ... 9.25 by 11.5 inches].  The image includes puncture marks where Buddy’s talons went through the paper.

And a Buddy-printed copy of the 2011 Garden of Eagles calendar [the calendar is 11 by 17 inches].
