Junior with Swing August 2010

Providing a stimulating environment to the Center’s resident education animals — something new, something different, something to do — is an ongoing challenge.  From time to time Center veterinary and rehabilitation staff will make changes in an animal’s enclosure — a new perch, a new “toy”, a Christmas tree.

Recently Madis Leivits, the Center’s Intern for Veterinary Diagnostics, created a swinging perch for Junior, a resident Golden Eagle, and took this video.
