The Wildlife Center also helps provide initial and continuing-education training for wildlife rehabilitators - individuals across Virginia who hold a permit, issued by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

The Center hosts introductory wildlife rehabilitation training classes offered at locations across Virginia and hosts an annual Call of the Wild" conference designed specifically for rehabilitators and other wildlife "first responders".
